We are committed to fostering clear and effective communication between our school and families. To keep you informed in your child’s education and will utilise a variety of methods, while keeping them at a minimum. Here is an overview of how we will communicate with you throughout the academy year.

School Website

Our academy website is a central hub for important information, including term dates, curriculum information and policies.

Gateway

As we are a cashless school, the Gateway app allow you to make payments for visits, breakfast club, school dinners and school uniform.

There is an information sheet in the academy reception which has instructions for how to log in to the app and use the platform.

Newsletters and Bulletins

Our newsletters will be shared at the beginning of each half term to provide a summary of events that are coming up with information, children’s achievements. These will also be shared on Class Dojo and via email.

The weekly bulletin will be shared at the end of each week to share children’s achievements, attendance, home reading and any reminders for the following week.

Pupil Planners

Each child has their own home school diary where you can find lots of information about the academy. The planners are used to record daily reading, weekly spellings and spelling test results, messages from parents/carers and teachers. There are pages to note down any log in details and curriculum information to support the pupils with learning in class.

Class Dojo

We use a platform called Class Dojo as part of our home school communication with parents and carers.

We’ll be use it to communicate with one another:  sharing messages, updates, events, and photos from class. It’s a simple, secure, and gives you a window into your child’s school day!

It can be use on any device and is a free mobile app for iOS and Android, and can also be accessed from your computer at classdojo.com.
